Here’s a screenshot of the Binibing Pilipinas 2007 website after the winners were announced. Notice there’s no branding at top of the site and the 5 yyyyy’s at the bottom of the page. I guess it’s a placeholder for a banner ad or maybe it’s for - Why are the 3 photos of the girls blurry? Doesn’t your developer have a staging environment?

With the site going to be visited thousands of times, you would think there would be articles, photos and videos of the event. They are missing a golden opportunity to tell the world how great the contest is and how it’s not all about pretty girls in bikinis. There’s more information and media about Binibing Pilipinas 2007 on blogs then the official site. BinibingPilipinas.com should be the #1 resource. Here’s what they should have done:

* Put up a blog documenting the activities leading up to the event.
* Upload videos to YouTube and allow people to post them on their sites.
* Have polls where people can vote for their favorite candidate.
* Create a newsletter or members only section exclusive to those who sign up.
